Morris Misel · success through focus
“If you focus on something and give it your energy and attention, you'll succeed.”
Success through Focus is the name my company has carried for years, and it's still the idea behind most of what I run. Depending on what you'd like to focus on, there are a few ways in.

Thirty years of foresight. Thousands of clients, 2,800+ keynotes and workshops, 160 industries, 25 countries, and heard by more than a million people a year, on stage and in the media.

Heard and seen on
“I learnt more in 90 minutes about my future, myself, my business and what I really need to do to move forward than I have in the past five years.”
Hamish Macqueen, Director, Cleancorp (NSW)
Where the name comes from
It's in the name: whatever you pick, it's the energy and attention you give it that gets you there.
Success through Focus is the name my company has carried for years, and I've kept it because it's still what I do. Most of what I run starts with a question about what's worth your attention right now.
I think focus is mostly about choosing what you'll leave alone, so the thing you've picked gets the time it needs and you're not spreading yourself across ten other things.

“Morris spent a morning with our peer group. His approach was interactive and conversational which best suits this set of busy business owners.”
David Simpson FAICD, Chairman, Edge Group, October 2026
“Morris is brilliant. But if you're reading this, chances are you already know that.”
Anton Barnett-Harris, CEO, Australian Physiotherapy Council
“A thought provoking and practical session that gave our industry a useful framework for considering not only what is changing, but what those changes may trigger next.”
Leanne Weier, Manager Client Services, Civil Contractors Federation Queensland, 2026 State Conference
It's the name my company has carried for years, and that idea's still behind most of what I do: choose the thing that matters, give it your energy and attention, and you'll succeed. These are the ways I work with people now.
Start with where you're heading, then look at what's already on its way, then pick a few first steps you can take this week, each with a name and a date. That's the order of my guide, and it's how I run a planning day.
Yes. I run planning days for teams, from half a day to two days, and I speak at conferences. Tell me who's in the room and when, and I'll tell you how I'd run it and what it would cost.
The 19 November session and the Tuesday email are free, and so is your first chat in Choose Forward. The guide is A$39. Planning days and keynotes are quoted for your date.
